Shakti Glass Works evolved from a 35 year passion for glass.  I started with stained glass after taking a course at Loyalist College in 1985.  I knew immediately that I had found my passion!  I only sold commissioned pieces of stained glass and proudly have pieces in homes across Canada.

In 2015, I was introduced to fused glass and my world of glass opened to a whole new experience. Fused glass has such unlimited creative possibilities, you can create bowls, platters, wall art, window art, functional pieces and so much more!  The more I explored,  the more I wanted to share these amazing techniques with anyone wanting to try glass art.  Shakti Glass Works began hosting workshops in different locations throughout the Lakeland area and  soon the decision was made to open the studio.

During the last six years, the studio has evolved to a fully equipped working/ teaching studio.  Workshops host up to 10 participants, and accommodates booking private studio time as well.  There is one scheduled workshop every month, that is promoted on the website, in the newsletter and on the Facebook page.  We do special events including bridal showers, social events and birthday parties in the studio or we can come to you.

We often hear "I am not artistic at all, my friend wanted me to come, but I am a fish out of water".  That's OK, you don't have to be artistic.  We provide inspiration boards and guide you every step of the way.
